ISU Indoor Practice Facility
|
![]() With the continued national exposure of Cyclone Football, Iowa State University is proud of the support it receives from fans to continue our upgrade in facilities. The indoor practice facility, which is funded by private gifts to Iowa State, is located just north of the Johnny Majors Practice Fields. The facility will provide the football team an alternate site for practice during inclement weather, as well as strength and conditioning during the off-season. Iowa State University has made the commitment to provide its student-athletes and coaches with the best possible environment in which to succeed. The new indoor facility will enhance this environment. |
Construction
of the 92,000 square-foot facility began in late March and completion of
the building is slated for November 2003. The facility will provide a regulation size NCAA football field, with approximately 30 feet of turf beyond the sidelines, and 20 feet of turf beyond the back of the end zone. This is a major step for the development of our football program. We are very grateful to all the individuals whose gifts made the construction of this building possible. |
